Idiyappam 6 nos
Lemon Juice 1-2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Ginger 1/4 tsp(finely chopped)
Green Chilli 1 no.(finely chopped)
Curry leaves few
Salt to tasteTo Temper
Oil/Sesame Oil 2-3 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
2 dry red chiĺli
Urad dal 1/2 tsp
Channa Dal 1/2 tsp
Peanut 2 tsp
Cashew Nuts 1 tbspMethod
Prepare Idiyappam as per the recipe, then allow to cool completely and gently separate the strings and keep aside.
Squeeze lemon juice in a small bowl and chop ginger, green chilli and keep everything ready.
Now heat oil in a pan, when it is hot add mustard seeds, red chiĺli and wait till it pop up completely.
Add peanuts, cashew nuts, channa dal and roast till golden brown.
After add curry leaves, ginger, green chilli and saute it well.
And add turmeric powder, hing and stir well..after that add idiyappam
and enough salt and mix everything well and gently
Lastly add lemon juice and mix well. If desired add some finely chopped cilantro.
Serve hot with coconut chutney or mint chutney.
